COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROJECTS: Our club supports multiple charitable initiatives. Piecemakers is a member of the Quilts of Valor Foundation which club members may also choose to join individually. Patriotic themed quilts are made and presented to Veterans. We also provide needed items and make quilts and pillowcases for the Department of Children Services (DCS).
SIT & SEW: Typically the club offers a monthly time to sit and sew based on location availability. Participants bring their machines (or hand stitching) to work on their own project, a Quilt of Valor, or a charity project. It is a great social time and opportunity to learn from other members. Piecemakers alternates Friday and Saturdays every other month to allow everyone an opportunity to attend.
RETREATS: The club currently sponsors 3 retreats each year. The cost varies based on the location, days, meals, and capacity. In the past we have held retreats at Henry Horton State Park, Barren River State Park and Place of Grace.
OKTOBERFEST: Our club participates in the Lebanon Wilson Bank and Trust annual Oktoberfest. We coordinate a quilt display with approximately 100 quilts and awards are given.
