Club Activities

Community Outreach Projects:  Our club supports multiple charitable initiatives.  Piecemakers is a member of the Quilts of Valor Foundation which club members may also choose to join individually.  Patriotic themed quilts are made and presented to Veterans.  Quilts are given to Isaiah House to their residents.  We also provide needed items and make quilts for the Department of Children Services (DCS).

Sit & Sew:  Typically the club offers a monthly time to sit and sew based on location availability. Participants bring their machines (or hand stitching) to work on their own project, a Quilt of Valor, or a charity project.  It is a great social time and opportunity to learn from other members.  Peacemakers alternate the third Friday and Saturdays every other month to allow everyone an opportunity to attend.

Creating beautiful things,

one stitch at a time.

Retreats:  The club currently sponsors 3 retreats each year.  The cost varies based on the location, days, meals, and capacity.   In the past we have held retreats at Place of Grace, and Henry Horton State Park.

Oktoberfest:  Our club participates in the Wilson Bank and Trust annual Oktoberfest.  We coordinate a quilt display with approximately 100 quilts and awards given.

Picasews: Be a part of this community who enjoy combining art and fabric to create imaginative works of art.  NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY, just a desire to explore several concepts within the art world.  We meet at 5:30pm before the monthly meeting, as well as the second Tuesday morning of the month at The Mill in Lebanon.  Contact Barb Ide for more information.
